Child Development

What will I study?

Child Development focuses upon different aspects of the growth and development of a child. It looks at the role of the family, parenthood, pregnancy, health, nutrition, a child’s physical, intellectual, social and emotional development from conception to age five.

The course includes an emphasis on planning and carrying out research tasks and investigations.

It is essential that you have access to a child under the age of five and are able to make contact on a weekly basis. The school will offer support to any students who wish to do this subject but are unable to fulfil this requirement.
