Brownhills Ormiston Academy is a small and traditional school, with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. We currently have 700 students aged 11-16 on roll. Our last Ofsted in 2017 graded the school good with a range of outstanding features.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of History for a September 2022 start.

If you can motivate all students to achieve their very best, if you are passionate and excited about history, and have an interest in being at the forefront of raising standards, then this job is for you.

The successful candidate will:

  • Raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our students;
  • Have a commitment to inclusion;
  • Help foster a culture of high expectations and achievement within the department;
  • Have drive, enthusiasm, resilience, warmth and humour.
  • Have opportunities to contribute to the wider life and ethos of the Academy
  • Already possess or be working towards QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Brownhills Ormiston Academy is a thriving secondary academy with a clear ambition of shaping lives, building ambition and igniting futures. We are now seeking to appoint an outstanding and ambitious teacher and leader as Head of English to join us in September 2022.

This is a key appointment for the academy and the successful candidate will work closely with the SLT lead to build on the current strong performance, set out an exciting vision for the future, develop colleagues to reach their full potential and ensuring the department is recognised locally and regionally for the quality of its provision and the achievement of students.
